Hey, loves!
Now, I know I don’t have that many followers just yet, but I’m going to participate in this week’s Book Blogger Hop anyway, just so I can help spread the word about everyone else’s blogs. I’ve been to SO very many awesome blogs lately and I’ve met some pretty amazing people so far, so here we go!
The idea is that you amble on over to the Crazy-For-Books.com blog site and sign up. Then you visit the blogs in the list, check out their content thoroughly, figure out who you want to get to know better, leave thoughtful, insightful, wonderful comments, and just have fun!
This week’s question is from Sarah over at Sarah Reads Too Much –>
Do you judge a book by its cover?
Answer: I would love to say that I do not judge a book by its cover, but I’d probably be lying. I suppose, though, that it depends on the circumstances. If I’m reading through reviews on blogs and choosing books to read, I rarely even look at the cover. I trust the opinions of my fellow bloggers enough to just go with it. However, if I am walking through a bookstore with the sole purpose of browsing and finding a few random books, you can bet your boots that my eye will be drawn to the covers. I like pretty, I like flashy, I like…interesting. Covers that are unusual colors tend to make me stop and look closer. I probably miss a lot of good books this way, but hey, I like shiny things!
And…that’s that.
Have fun, people!

Hi 🙂 Bold colors and uncluttered covers always catch my attention. It always helps if there’s a picture. I try not to judge too much though because I almost looked over a book because of it’s cheesy covers. The books ended up being one of my favorite series. Hope you have a fun weekend!!
Hope you Hop by my site
I agree with you on relying on reviews ad what other people think. I don this sometimes but covers are also a great factor. It catches attention anyway, dropping by via the hop. 🙂 I’m also a new follower. Hope you can drop by Cladestine Sanctuary Have great weekend.
Stopping by from the hop. I like your blog, and so far, I am so glad you really like the Book of Lost Things. I have heard so much about it. I have the book now and will read it soon!! I will be back and let you know.
Stopping by via the hop. Happy Friday!

Stopping by via the hop…I think it depends – there’s a place and time when book covers come into play as to if I will read the book.
Happy Friday!

Always With a Book
I’m hopping back. Thanks for stopping by my blog and following me. I was looking around your blog and saw you were waiting for quite a few YA titles which seems like an abnormality compared to the other stuff you’ve reviewed recently. Glad to see that you are looking into that genre more! i just got my copy of Nevermore and can’t wait to read it!
Have an awesome weekend and I’m your newest follower.
Down The Rabbit Hole

i see that you’re on twitter too? Do you find that it helps you get more blog followers, or is it just more work?
Visiting from the HOP! I really like the way you have things set up.
I hope you will have time to visit one or both of my blogs: LibrarysCat and Never Forget!
Have a great weekend!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I really like the setup of yours. We enjoy a lot of the same books! I hope you have a great weekend!
Happy Friday. Yes I judge books by their covers.
You know me all too well, but i wanted to let you know that yes… covers are important. Flashy gold covers generally will keep me interesting. Just started a book called Graceling by Kristen Cashore because the cover was pretty and simplistic. And then the City of Ash, City of Glass, City of Bones series by Cassandra Clare because the cover was flashy and pretty, silvery goldness to it… and I share the first name, and her last name is that of my best friend. It was destiny. Sometimes people have silly reasons for picking out books… but whatever keeps you reading. 🙂 *love love*
