Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

I was born in the 80s. Early 80s. (Yeah, I’m old…*sob*) So, 80s and 90s trivia about video games and music and all that good stuff makes my heart go pitter-pat. It also amuses me to remember the stuff from back then. That, of course, helped me fall in love with this book; it is FULL of references to 80s and 90s pop culture and lifestyle.

Barefoot by Elin Hilderbrand

This was my first time reading any of Hilderbrand’s books and I must say I will be reading others. I absolutely devoured this book, reading it in less than a week (keeping in mind I work full time and go to school part-time!). I found the book and the characters in it captivating.

Thirst No. 5 by Christopher Pike – Cover Reveal

Of course I’m stalking this book like mad on Amazon.com, hoping against hope that the release date will be moved up.  So far the only thing that’s budged is the price – $8.79 as of this writing – so I’m crying inside a little. It’s not unexpected, though. My hopes of an earlier release are […]

Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult

The small town of Paradise, Pennsylvania, is a jewel in Lancaster County — known for its picture-postcard landscapes and bucolic lifestyle. But that peace is shattered by the discovery of a dead infant in the barn of an Amish farmer. A police investigation quickly leads to two startling disclosures: the newborn’s mother is an unmarried Amish woman, eighteen-year-old Katie Fisher. And the infant did not die of natural causes. Although Katie denies the medical proof that she gave birth to the child, circumstantial evidence leads to her arrest for the murder of her baby.

Hello, folks.

I’m sure that you’ve noticed that since having to take a hiatus for a family emergency, I still have not returned to reviewing books.  Honestly, I haven’t even had time to -read- a book since leaving for Mississippi in April. What’s been going on with me: As I mentioned, in April I had to leave […]

Christopher Pike’s Thirst V – The Sacred Veil

If you click here you can pre-order the title through Amazon. That’s not an affiliate link…I get nothing for you ordering, I just want to share the love. I may or may not have squealed a little bit when I saw it pop up. Actually, I didn’t squeal at all, because the baby’s sleeping right […]
